THINK TANK - FREE TRAINING

Free Training

As part of the Think Security First! initiative, free training will be provided to businesses, schools, and residents of Walnut Creek throughout 2003/4

Think Security First! has also joined forces with the Regional Training Institute, based in Walnut Creek, to provide more in-depth training to businesses in Contra Costa County.

And our hope is that additional training will soon be available to all businesses within the greater Bay area, either free or on a subsidized basis.

Breakfast Briefings

The easiest way to learn more about how to protect yourself, your business, or your family from cybercrime is to join us at one of our upcoming Breakfast Briefings.

Each Briefing lasts just 90 minutes and focuses on a specific security topic or challenge. The first briefing is scheduled for August 26th 2003, focused on identity theft for the small business. Find out more.

In-Depth Training

Looking for more advanced security training? Our world-class security team has put together a series of advanced security courses for Bay area businesses in need of more intensive and hands-on security training.

In partnership with the Regional Training Institute in Walnut Creek, the first in a series of half and one-day courses will be announced in September 2003.

These courses will include:

  • Building a corporate information security program (1 day).
  • Self-Defense Hacking - An introduction to common hacking methods (3-4 hour).
  • Cybercrime investigations and digital forensics (in conjunction with Bay Area police departments) - 1 day.
  • Are you HIPAA compliant? - a one-day HIPAA check-up.
  • CISSP Preparation - a one-day introduction to the Certified Information Systems Security Professional exam.

For more information on these courses, or to suggest a subject you’d like to know more about, contact Neal O’Farrell at neal@thinksecurityfirst.net.
